Municipal General Elections will take place in the Province this year on October 2, 2025. In order to run for a municipal council, a person must be:
A Canadian citizen who is 18 years of age or older
Ordinarily a resident in the municipality for at least 30 days prior to the date set for the commencement of the nomination period
Not in arrears of taxes or other charges payable to the municipality
Not otherwise disqualified under the Municipal Elections Act

The Town of Peterview is now a Naloxone Distribution Site. The Town recognizes the opioid crisis and realizes that this kit could save someones life. If you or someone you know need a kit, they are available at the town office Monday to Friday during business hours free of charge, no questions asked.

Community Garden plots are now available for purchase for the upcoming season. They will be handed out on a first come/first serve basis.
Plots are available for $10.00/each and we limit 1 plot per person.

Garbage collection happens every Wednesday.
Starting at 8:00 am.
Central Newfoundland Waste Management will only pick up garbage in clear bags, and recyclables in blue bags.
